• In order to improve the efficiency of system development, this paper designed and
developed the Field Monitoring System based on CBSD (component-based software
development).

• A general Client/Server framework is adopted to achieve the objectives of this

system.

• There are four layers in this System, application layer, business layer, algorithm
layer and data layer.

• The application layer supports Farmland Management and Agricultural

Mechanization scheduling

• The business layer include data preprocessing, field crop monitoring, data
management and system management which are supported by the algorithm layer
and data layer.

• The algorithm layer contains field crop monitoring algorithms library for growth
condition monitoring, yield predicting, soil nutrition status monitoring.

• The Data Layer provides various geospatial and attribute data which are stored in
files or databases, such as base geographical information data, multi-source
remote sensing data.
