Definition: The supernatural ability
to start up new churches and ministries and to give them oversight. Apostle Description: The spiritual expression that supernaturally enables a person to fill the role of one sent outside the local congregation to pioneer new churches and/or to father new ministries. Apostle Results: 1.It focuses upon the “big picture” and makes sure there is biblical balance in a ministry. 2.Works to preserve the unity of the Body of Christ. Apostle Results: 3. Emphasis on “signs and wonders” and stirs up the supernatural. 4.Guides and balances the growth of the church. 5. Sets things in order and Apostle Results: 6. Develops and nurtures vision for the mission of the church. Keeps the focus outward. 7. Pioneers new churches and fathers new Christian ministries. Apostle Cautions: 1.Need to remember that the strength of their authority and vision can quench the Spirit in others. Apostle Cautions: 2. Can become overly focused on a truth or a goal and critical of others who aren’t in the same place. 3. Can cause others to “look to them” for answers. Prophet prophetes – one that speaks a divinely inspired message.

to speak God’s will, heart, or mind to others. Prophet Description: The spiritual expression that supernaturally enables a person to fill the role of one who consistently reveals God’s truth and proclaims it in a timely and relevant manner. Prophet Results: 1.This person is always pointing people towards God’s will. 2.Speaks divinely inspired messages that can be predictive, directive, or corrective. Prophet Results: 3.Operates best when part of a team with an apostle. 4.Watches the flock, listens to the Lord, and speaks words that point people back to God when they stray. Prophet Results: 5.A person in this role will be used by God to stir up spiritual zeal and increase hunger for the supernatural. Prophet Cautions: 1.Remember that Scripture must always support and agree with each message given. 2.Every message is subjective and should be offered to others for consideration. Prophet Cautions: 3.This role is not filled by someone who “does prophecy” but a person who carries authority to be an equipper. 4.Prophets can become demanding, demeaning, and discouraging. Evangelist euaggelistes – one who brings good news.

to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to people. Evangelist Description: The spiritual expression that supernaturally enables a person to fill the role of one who is able to effectively communicate the Gospel of Christ in such a way that it brings out a person’s need for God and releases faith for salvation. Evangelist Results: 1.Ability to communicate the message of hope found in Jesus Christ with clarity and conviction. 2.Seek out opportunities to talk to unbelievers and able to direct the conversation to spiritual matters. Evangelist Results: 3. Usually have divine appointments in their daily life with people ready to give their lives to Christ. 4. They are able to adapt the presentation of the Gospel to connect with the person’s needs. Evangelist Results: 5. They encourage and equip others
in the Body of Christ to have the
evangelistic spirit of outreach. 6. They keep a congregation from becoming “inwardly focused.” Evangelist Cautions: 1.Need to remember to not become critical of others who are not evangelists. 2.Remember the same approach is not appropriate for everyone. Evangelist Cautions: 3. Need to remember that the Holy Spirit draws a person to Jesus and not their mastery of persuasive words or use of condemnation or fear. The Apostolic 1. Focus on Unity and Overall Health. 2. Hungry for Signs & Wonders. 3. Biblical Truth as Foundational. 4. Church is “in order.” 5. Vision of the Church is clear. 6. People are missional. The Prophetic 1. Focus on Obedience to God’s Word. 2. Eagerness to repent of sin. 3. Faith for the supernatural. 4. Hunger to know God’s will. 5. Desire for personal holiness. 6. Reactive to ungodliness. The Evangelist 1. Focus is on Church Growth. 2. Burden for the lost. 3. Eagerness to be a witness. 4. Regular testimonies of people giving their lives to Jesus. 5. Evangelistic meetings. 6. Outreach into the community.
