1. Do a warm-up before running.

 Before you run, perform


dynamic stretches to warm
up, but avoid static stretches,
as they can cause injury.

 Start by stretching your lower


extremities, particularly the
claves, hamstrings,
quadriceps, and ankles while
walking or slowly jogging.

2. Use the appropriate equipment.

 Wear shoes with thick soles


that can provide the best
support and comfort.(Make
sure to wear them neither too
tight nor too loose.)

 Wear appropriate upper and


lower attire for running.

3. Survey the weather first.

 The type of weather will


dictate the preparations you
must make.

 Where the appropriate


clothing to avoid heatsrokes
and colds.

4.Observe road safety.

 Choose roads that have


sidewalks and no car traffic.

 Obey traffic rules and


regulations.
z
5.Stay alert at all times.

 Do not wear earplugs


because this will make you
less aware of the potential
hazards in the environment.

 If running at night, must wear


reflectorized clothing and
avoid dark places.

6.Beware of animals.

 Watch out for dogs and wild


animal.

 If you encounter an
aggressive animal, be calm
and do not run. Slowly walk
to the other side of the street.
Avoid making eye contact
with the animal.

7.Set your running goals.

 Before running, determine


the distance and the pace
you want to achieve.

 Beginners should aim for


short distances and slower
pace until they develop their
stamina and edurance
gradually.
