    TYPES OF NEWS
    TYPES OF NEWS

    • Hard news, these are straight news that reports the most
    important information and always follow inverted
    pyramid style-meaning it brings the most newsworthy
    information at the beginning. Eg; political news and
    crime.
    • Features news, these use story telling devices and details-
    narrative way just like in novels and usually accompanied
    by pics, illustrations, graphics, maps etc. do not use
    inverted pyramid style. And may permit reporter to invert
    his or her knowledge eg; spot features, trend stories,
    profiles etc.
    Different between news in print media and news in electronic media

    1.Way of presentation
    For example the gazette uses words, radio uses
    audio and Tv uses audio and visual
    2.Audiences
    -Audience in print media are called readers,in redio
    listeners and in Tv are called viewers
    3.Time in deliverance
    -Radio and TV deriver their stories on the same day
    while newspaper is on the following day.
