{why it is celebrated}
All Saints' Day is a feast instituted to honor each and every one
of the saints, whether they are known or not, for their work in
spreading God's message.

This celebration is also an

opportunity to live the vocation to
holiness that all Christians have.
{origin}

It began in the fourth century because of the

large number of martyrs of the Christian
church that remained after the persecution for
their praise of God.
{When and how is it celebrated}
This festival began by celebrating May 13 in the
year 610 by Pope Boniface IV, but in the seventh
century Pope Gregory IV moved the date to
November 1.
The celebration is divided into different dates; on October 31st, at
night they start lighting candles to welcome the deceased children; on
November 1st, they celebrate All Saints' Day, they make offerings,
attend mass and prayers; and finally on November 2nd, is the day of
the faithful departed, where they make offerings, prayers, even family
members attend pantheons where their deceased relatives are buried.

Among the traditions of the Day of the Dead is
the creation of altars where food, fruit,
drinks, toys and photos of the deceased
relatives are placed in order to receive them.

In the same way, rugs made of earth or sawdust

with coloring and glitter are made to
welcome and pay tribute to the dead.
