Introduction to the Government Sector

The government sector consists of the following resident institutional


units: all units of central, state or local government, all social security
funds at each level of government, all non-market non-profit institutions
that are controlled and financed by government units.
Recent Changes in the Public Sector

 National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), a new policy on


education in India approved by the Union Cabinet.
 Govt working on a plan to revamp India POST ; could soon
turn in to a full-fledged bank
 To promote medical tourism in the country, government has
launched India’s Healthcare Portal and Advantage Health
Care India.
 India wins a two-year seat on the United Nations Security
Council to begin January 1, 2021 during the 2020 Security
Council Elections.

development or monitor trends that indicate the need for new
products and services.
