Difference between DSLR

NO!!!!!
In recent years some technology commentators have
suggested that smartphone camera technology will
eventually become so good that people won’t need
or want a mirrorless camera or DSLR.
Photography is all about light. To let the camera "see"
PHOTOGRAPHY what you wish, you have tools controlling how much
PARAMETERS light reaches the camera sensor.
Imagine that you are looking through a small round
hole in a fence. How much of the scene behind the
fence will you see and comprehend? I would say it
depends on two factors:
• How large the aperture is. The larger it is, the more
you will see.
• How long you look. The longer you look, the more
details you will notice.
APERTURE AND DEPTH OF
FIELD

■ Aperture defines how large the hole is through which the

sensor sees the world. In photography, aperture is measured in
units called F-numbers
Shallow depth of field due to the wide aperture F1.4. The
lion is in focus, the bear behind is out of focus. ■ The smaller the F-number is, the larger the aperture hole is, and
the more light reaches the sensor. From now on by "large
aperture" I will mean a large aperture hole and vice versa.
■ In addition to the amount of light reaching the sensor, aperture
affects another very important aspect: the depth of field.
■ The larger the depth of field is, the more objects are in
focus. And the smaller the aperture (the larger the F-number) is,
the larger the depth of field is.

Larger depth of field with smaller aperture F8. The focus is still
on the lion, but the bear is also in focus.
ISO SPEED
(SENSITIVITY)
■ It defines how sensitive the camera
sensor is to light. With the same
amount of available light, the higher
the ISO sensitivity is, the more light
will be captured by the sensor.
■ The ISO sensitivity is measured in
numbers. (100, 200 ,400 ,800...
generally)
■ The ISO sensitivity is more
artificial, its increase comes at a
price. The more sensitive the sensor
becomes, the more image noise it
creates.
■ The ISO sensitivity control is
usually useful with insufficient
light.
SHUTTER SPEED
■ Shutter speed is the time while the shutter curtain is open, exposing the sensor to light.
■ Shutter speed is measured in normal seconds.
■  While the shutter is open, the sensor records everything it sees.
■ For capturing fast actions, we need a very low shutter speed.
■ The motion blur is the result of shooting moving objects with long shutter speeds.
PRO MODE
Pro mode is a feature in mobile phone cameras which
enables you to set all parameters manually, like the
manual mode of a DSLR.
GRIDLINES : RULE OF THIRDS
"Rule of thirds"  a photographic if you place points of interest in
composition principle that says these intersections or along the
Gridlines are there to guide you, 1

never hesitate to use them down into thirds, both balanced, level, and allow

Set your camera's focus
■ Phone cameras automatically focus on the
foreground of your frame, but not every picture
you take on your phone has an obvious subject
■ To adjust where you want your camera lens to
focus, open your camera app and tap the screen
where you want to sharpen the view.
■ Focus on one subject
POST
PRODUCTION
■ Composing and taking your smartphone photo is just the first step to making it
visually compelling. Editing your photos is the next step.
■ There are many great apps available on your mobile phones which enables you to
do pro level editing.
EDITING APPS

■ PHOTOSHOP EXPRESS : This app is a

simplified version of Photoshop. Apart from
various exposure adjustments, it also has
other useful tools such
as Presets, Crop, Redeye, and Borders.
Furthermore, it has a healing tool and even
and a magic wand to enable automatic
adjustments.
■ LIGHTROOM: Surprisingly, Lightroom
performs better than Photoshop as far as
mobile editing is concerned. It has the usual
editing tools such
as Presets, Effects, Crop, Light, Color,
and Details.
■ SNAPSEED
