 The biggest challenge in the recruitment industry are companies are firing
instead of hiring. According to research from global risk management, 42% of
surveyed organizations reduced their hiring.
 Some industries are need of additional workforce in order to support the
growing need for their services,
 Companies need to digitize their recruitment process as companies are closed
and everyone is working from home.
 Companies need to cut their hiring costs. Some of them even shifting from
agency to in-house recruiting.

Current situation at FMCG due to Covid-19
 FMCG segment is the fourth largest sector in the Indian economy.
 It is one of the industry which grows their portfolio during covid. It is
expected to grow at 9- 10% in 2020.
 Industry estimated to exceed sales of about Rs. 22,500 crore in 2020.
 It suffered lack of available labor during the time of covid. Industry wants to
increase their hiring number as there is more demand for consumer goods.
 Focusing more on strong leadership and an innovative workforce.

essential goods factories across the country had to be kept running.

 Company provided infrastructure for 18,000 employees to work virtually.
 HUL digitised all the interactions with the employees.

 E-Commerce Industry has had a major impact and growth has been on the
creation of employment opportunities across the whole industry.
 The e-commerce industry is expected to contribute 4% of GDP by 2020.
 E-Commerce industry is on the rise as consumers who opt for the
convenience of shopping online over the time and energy spent on going to a
store in-person.

retaining employees on virtual teams, making remote work new normal.
