Minimum Support Prices for Major Crops during Kharif Marketing

minimum support price (MSP)

• As per the National Nutrition Institute it


should be around 180 eggs per person per
year.

• So the production needs to increased as to


provide lots of employment opportunity.

• As the government target to double the


farmer’s income by 2022.

India’s economy is largely based on
agriculture and animal husbandry in which
milk production plays important role.
India maintains its position as word's top
milk producer, with production of 176.3 million
tonne milk production in 2017-18.
More than 50% of the marketable surplus is
still handled by the unorganized sector.
The United States is the world's largest
producer of cow's milk.
India is the largest buffalo milk producer in
the world.
