travel uses (rockets, airplanes, etc.). Some tasks include designing, testing, and launching vehicles.

● Education: Undergraduate school, degree in mechanical engineering, Masters degree in related major
● Something I Learned: NASA provides some great co-op programs (which give academic credit for
paid work experience in field of study) for students who want to get a foot in the door of NASA
careers

● Next Step: Research which colleges provide co-op programs relating to NASA or aerospace
engineering
Career 3 - Culinary Nutritionist (for a baseball team)
● Working for a team, a culinary nutritionist prepares food for the players, monitors the nutritional
value of their diets, and makes sure they are eating the right foods to perform at peak condition.
● Salary: Not mentioned
● Education: Education in culinary arts and nutrition, combining the cooking aspect and nutritional
information aspect
● Something I Learned: There is a nutritional/culinary team behind almost all professional sports
teams
● Question I have: WHat other applications could exist for a degree in culinary nutrition?
● Next Step: Find a way to connect what I learned from this video to the therapy aspect of food and
nutrition, which I am more interested in
How These Careers Would Fit Into My Life

1. Aquarist: Being an aquarist would fit in with the part of me that loves animals, but as I
question the humanity of zoos and aquariums, I would only want this career if I could
make a difference.
2. Aerospace Engineer: This career would definitely alter my life, making high level math
and science the main focuses of my career, which I am getting introductory exposure to
currently.
3. Culinary Nutritionist: I already love to cook and bake, so this career would combine that
with my desire to help people and improve their lives (assuming I can combine this career
with something mental as well).
