Introduction:
What is media? It is a communication
channels through which news,


entertainment, education, data, or
promotional messages are
disseminated.
Media includes every broadcasting and
narrowcasting medium such as
newspapers, magazines, TV, radio etc.
Media plays a key role and is influencing
our lifestyles. For that we have
conducted a survey through different
departments of PUNJAB UNIVERSITY.
Our survey also circulated outside the
premises of University to some more
people and we have conducted
surveys from about 100 people.

Objectives:
• To know what the people think about
the importance of media.


To know which media is the most
influent.
• To know which form of media is the
least influential.
• To know which media is affecting the
society positively.

Hurdles:
We had to tell the people about the
difference between electronic and
social media as they were mixing it
up. They absolutely had no idea
related to the concept of “brain drain”
4 as it was something new for them.

Conclusion:
We conclude that media is playing a


vital role in our society. Print
media is highly influencing in
relating to some educational
purposes while social media is
affecting our lifestyles both
positively and negatively same is
the case with electronic media.
They both are helping the people
to flourish and are also the reason
behind different social evils. Youth
prefers Social Media while the
adults have gone mostly with print
27 and electronic media.
