 2000 years earlier a Greek scientist
name heron of Alexandria discovered
a steam engine . he took a metal ball
and place two tubes in opposite
direction . he fill the metal with
water . then he provide heat to the
ball and the water turns into steam and
getting out both of the pipes and start
rotating.
THOMAS NEWCOMEN :
 After a long time a scientist
name Thomas Newcomen in
1712 AD he developed a
atmospheric engine which
is also called Newcomen
atmospheric engine . which
was used for taking water
from the ground.
THOMAS NEWCOMENS
JAMES WATT :
after some time
James watt
developed new
comen engine and
add a governor in
1781 A.D and made it
better.
JAMES WATT
GEORGE CHOLERAS :
 In 1800 A.D George
choleras add a better
governor in the same
design and made
improvised version of
steam engine . which was
more efficient then
James watt engine.
ROBERT STERLIN :
 In 1860 AD Robert
sterling made a new
type of engine.
which works on
temperature
difference . today
we know as sterling
engine.
ENTINNE LENOIR :

 At same time in 1860

ETIENNE LENOIR
engine was also
developed .ETIENNE
LENOIR was the
brother Nicolas Otto.
and patent in 1961 AD.
NICOLAS AUGUST OTTO :
 Nicolas august Otto
the Inventor of 4 stroke
engine . for the first in
history in 1876 AD he
developed a 3 HP
engine. Which was four
stroke engine
DUGALD CLERK :
 after that in 1886 sir
dugald clerk made a
two stroke engine.
and patent it in 1881.
CARL BENZ :
 A new era was started in
1886 A.D . A man name
Carl Benz invented a
automobile or tricycle .
which was based on 4
stroke reciprocating
engine. From here
automobile industry was
started.
RUDOLF DIESEL :
 In 1890 AD Rudolf Diesel
Invented A Diesel Engine.
Which Was 4 Stroke Diesel
Engine And Ran On Diesel
And Gasoline.
 Those Scientist Changed The Ideology Of
Transportation.
After That Many Engines Was Introduced
Like Benchley Engine . B Engine, W Engine
And The Latest Is Rotary Engine, Internal
Combustion Engine.
