 To change a mixed number to an improper
fraction, follow the steps:

 1. Multiply the denominator by the whole number.

 2. Add the product to its numerator. That will be the new

 numerator.

 Copy the denominator


To change an improper fraction to a mixed number; follow these steps:
 1. Divide the numerator by the denominator.

 The quotient will be the whole number and the remainder will be the numerator. Then copy the
denominator.
