Team Manila

ALL ABOUT THE BRAND


Team Manila is a graphic design studio from the Philippines. It mainly
makes use of Filipino visual culture to represent the country in the design
community. They use graphic design to tell the story of being a Filipino, to
represent a culture that is often overlooked. Team Manila offers a variety of
design services ranging from branding, print, packaging, environmental
graphics, space, digital, and video production by Team Manila Videos, as a
response to the rise of digital content. They are considered the streetwear
brand in the Philippines with ten stores deep, with online orders coming
from all over the world.

Jowee Alviar and Mon Punzalan

They started Team Manila Design Studio in a garage in 2001. They moved to a
different location in Makati, Manila, in 2005. The studio became a three-part
operation: graphic design upstairs, a storefront downstairs, and silk-screening in
the backyard. In 2005, they started a clothing brand, using graphic design and t-
shirts as "mediums to inspire the Philippines' visual culture“.

Team Manila has been working with a


number of established clients such as
SM Supermalls, Globe, Nike, Condura,
among many others. TM has expanded
to a team of 50 that continuously builds
an impressive portfolio of award-
winning works in graphic design and
branding. 3
Team Manila Lifestyle has always been
giving emphasis to Filipino visual culture
through creating designs translated into a
merchandise collection which is
composed of shirts, caps, tote bags, to
name a few.

Team Manila designs are inspired


by Filipino nationalism as well as the
different trends in art direction and/or
design.
Team Manila aims to educate and cultivate public
appreciation through its work while making a lasting
mark on visual culture and reinforcing the current
lifestyle of graphic design here and abroad.

Team Manila aims to represent the country within
