DEFINITION AND MEANING OF RELATIONSIP BETWEEN
EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE
DEFINITION:
• The definition of employer-employee relation refers to the organization’s effort to create and maintain a positive relationship
between employer and employees. By maintaining positive and constructive relation, organization hope to keep employees loyal
and more engaged in their work.
MEANING:
• Employer-employee relation refers to the relationship shared among the employees in an organization. It is an art which effectively
monitor’s and manages the relation between individuals. The employees must be comfortable with each other for a healthy
environment at work place.
OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
• Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) are low value products with a regular high turnover.
• The INDIAN FMCG sector began to shape during the last fifty years.
• The FMCG sector is the 4th largest sector in the INDIAN economy.
• Food and beverages accounts to 19% of the sector, Healthcare which accounts to 31%, House holds and Personal care accounts to
balance 50% of the FMCG sector.
• The industry is highly competitive.
• More than 50% of the total revenues of FMCG companies come from products worth Rs.10 or below.
• In last 10 years domestic players are giving tough competition to the MNC.
• The government has allowed 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in food processing and single brand retail, 51% in the multi-

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is a systematic way to solve a research problem. Researcher methodology minimizes the degree of certainty
involved in management decision. Research is characterized by systematic, objective, reproducible, relevant and control. It includes
various steps that are generally adapted by the researcher in studying the problem along with the logics behind them. The present study
is in ITC LIMITED, ICML PLANT in Tiruchirapalli.
RESEARCH DESIGN:
Descriptive research studies are those which are concerned with describing the characteristics of a particular individual, or of a group.
Design is the blue print for the descriptive research work that guides the researcher in a scientific way towards the achievement of the
objectives. The research instrument used for this study was a self administrates questionnaire that was circulated to employees in ITC
limited. The data collected this way are the primary data for analysis. In this phase, based on the review of literature different
questions have been employed to study the employee commitment and relationship management in ITC LIMITED,ICML
PLANT in Trichy.
PRIMARY DATA COLLECTION:
The study basically uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data means data which is fresh collected data. Primary data mainly
has been collected through personal interviews, survey etc. primary data collection was done through structured questionnaire. Primary
data can be collected either through experiment or through survey.
SAMPLE SIZE:
The study is based only on the opinion and expectations of the employees. The researcher has taken 120 samples for the survey.
• The average score states that the respondents irrespective of their perception on commitment with respect to the personal
classification have given high level of opinion towards right job given to right man.
• Furthermore, the respondents irrespective of their perception on commitment with respect to classification of present working
condition have given high level of opinion towards job satisfaction followed by share feelings to others.
• The average score concluded that the majority of the respondents have high level of opinion towards job satisfaction, share feelings
as an important factor in the perception of influencing the behavior in the study of commitment among employees in ITC Limited,
Trichy.
• It is concluded that the majority of the respondents have high level of opinion towards the management review and acknowledge
employee suggestions as an important factor in the perception on influencing behaviour in the study of relationship among
employer and employees in ITC Limited, Trichy.
SUGGESTION
• Improve communication between the employer and employee to share more information without any flaw and for better
understanding of the employees.
• Share the organization’s vision and mission to make the employee feel better about the company.
• Provide more knowledge to the employees by conducting mentoring programme in a effective way.
CONCLUSION
From the in- depth study the relationship between the employer and employee was found to be satisfactory to this company. It is
analyzed that employees have good commitment to the job and relationship with the management. The study conducted also revealed
that a majority of employee of this company are satisfied with the job and with their work environment. The relationship with the
supervisors and the co-employee provide conductive work environment to the employees. The study therefore highlights that the
various aspects on maintaining relationship between the management and employees have satisfied the employees.
