Uses of the Product - what are the ultimate uses of


the product/benefits of the service. What other
services or benefits derive of using the product and
identify the present and potential uses of the
product/ service.

Technical Study

Operational Process – the process of converting the


direct materials into outputs or products before it will
be delivered to the market or the process of delivering
the service. Show a flowchart followed by a brief
discussion of each process.

Production Schedule – use projection technique like


average, trend analysis, etc, based on the demand and
supply performance of the company for the last 5
years. Present table followed by brief interpretation.

Plant Layout and Location – brief
description is needed. Layout must be
presented. Use AutoCAD if possible.

Equipment and Machineries – all equipment


and machineries will be given brief
specification and use. This must also be
presented in table format with particulars,
quantity, unit cost, total cost and estimated
useful life.

Supplies – all supplies must be presented
with brief description and uses. Table format
must also be presented with particulars,
quantity, unit cost and total cost.

Direct Materials – cost which can be easily


identified by the unit of production. Each
direct material should be given brief
description on how it used in the factors of
production.

Utilities Expense – theses are usually


expenses for water, electricity and
communication. It is presented in table format
of the monthly usage and cost including the
supplier or provider. Each table should be
given brief interpretation.

and how it can be converted into a more

Competition – identify the direct and indirect


competitors of the business, what are the

Customer Analysis - what is the business’


customer segments. How does it serve niche
market.

Core Competency – describe the competency of


people, system and process, suppliers, market
and technology.

Market Position and Image- describe the image


of the company associate with the brand/service.
How is the brand position in the market in which

product/service be considered as substitute or
top of the mind brand.

analysis.

Manpower Requirements – describe the number of
workers and the necessary expertise that must
accompany each of the position that management
would be creating for the new business. This must
also present the job description of people in the
organization including managers. Each job
description must have content of job title, work
location, division/department, report to, job purpose,
job duties, skills/qualifications, experience, and
working conditions.

Compensation – should indicate the computation for


mandatory compensation and benefits. Present in
table form then give full discussions.

Company’s Policy – enumerate the


company’s policy for employees,
customers/retailers, and suppliers. This in
necessary in the achievement of efficient
business operations.

Legal Requirements – identify procedural

Total Project Cost – present the working capital (table


format) say of 1.5 to 2 month operations. Interpret the table.

interpret table.

Operational Expenses- these include all the costs to be


incurred during business operations for 5 years. Ex. Expenses
for selling, utilities, miscellaneous, depreciation (building,
equipment, furn. & fixtures, vehicle), repairs and
maintenance, and permit and licenses.

Financial Plans
Labor Cost- present and interpret table for direct labor, sss
contribution, philhealth, and other mandatory
compensation. These should be an annual compensation.

Government Services and Regulations. Present and


interpret legal requirements cost for 5 years.

Repairs and Maintenance – present the 5 years projected


maintenance cost. Specify materials and labor costs to be
incurred.

Sources of Funds- mention the start up capital and budget


for operations. It must present the sources like cash,
vehicle, equipment or machine.

Payments of Debt – incase part of start up


capital will be through loan, present and
interpret terms of payment and interest.

Financial Statement – this must show the


financial position, financial performance, and
cash flow that is useful to a wide range of
users in making economic decision. Present
and interpret the projected five- year income
statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
statement.

Socio-Economic Contribution
Put the introductory paragraph of the chapter

Contribution to Philippine Economy – specifically


how do you think the business can contribute to the
economic development of the country. In what
manner.

Employment Generation - tell how it can generate


more jobs in the locality, region and in the country.

Environment – tell how the business can protect and


maintain natural environment. How will the business
convert wastes into resources.
