CINEMA

A CINEMA (AMERICAN ENGLISH), CINEMA (BRITISH

ENGLISH), OR CINEMA HALL (INDIAN ENGLISH), ALSO
KNOWN AS A FILM HOUSE, PICTURES, FILM THEATER, OR
SHOWS, IS A BUILDING THAT INCLUDES AN AUDITORIUM
FOR ENTERTAINMENT MOVIES (ALSO KNOWN AS
MOVIES). FILM STUDIOS ARE MAINLY, BUT NOT ALL,
ENTERTAINMENT EVENTS THAT APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC
AUDIENCE.
• The word "genre" (already being used in English with regards to artworks or
literature output from at least 1770) was used during the early days of cinema
in the 19th century [by whom? ] to classify the films by type. André Bazin
explored the notion of "genre" in the 1950s by using the Western film as an
example. The definition of the genre became a major part of film theory in the
late 1960s.
• Film genres rely on trends from other forms; before the Western film, Western
novels existed, and musical theatre pre-dated film musicals. A film's defined
genre may change over time; for example, The Great Train Robbery (1903)
classes as a key early Western film in the 21st century, but when released,
advertising promoted it for its relationship with the then-popular genres of the
chase film
DIFFERENT TYPES OF CINEMA
Theaters can be largely classified into three forms according to
the concept of the Construction Act: cinema with a single screen,
multi-cinema with more than two screens, and cine-complex with
a complex structure and with a theater paired with other facilities
that promote movie viewing.
TYPES OF CINEMA
SHORT FILMS
Any video not long enough to
be deemed a feature film is a
short film.
ANIMATED FILMS
• Animated animation is a film created by
photographing a sequence of simply changing
drawings, etc., and, when the sequence is quickly
projected, offer the illusion of motion.
FILM ADAPTATIONS
•The conversion of a work or plot, in
full or in part, to a feature film is a
film adaptation.
HISTORICAL FILMS
• A historical drama or period drama is a film genre in
which past incidents and important people are based on
myths. Any historical dramas are docudramas that aim to
accurately depict a historical incident or biography to the
extent that historical research available would support it.
DISASTER FILMS
• A disaster film or disaster movie is a type of film that has as
its focus and main plot device an imminent or continuing
disaster. ... These movies also feature huge casts of actors
and different story arcs, reflecting on the efforts of the
characters to stop, avoid or deal with the tragedy and its
consequences.
BIOGRAPHICAL FILMS
• A biographical film or biopic is a film that dramatizes the
life of a person or character that is non-fictional or
historically based. These films demonstrate a historical
person's existence and the actual name of the lead character
is used.
SILENT FILMS
• A silent film is a film with no recorded sound (and, in
fact, no audible dialogue) synchronized. The story can be
expressed by the use of title cards, written story signs and
main dialogue lines in silent films for entertainment.
DOCUMENTARY FILMS
• The documentary film, motion picture, forming and
presenting actual information for informative or
recreational purposes. In almost every region,
documentaries have been made in one form or another
and have contributed significantly to the creation of
reality in film.
ADVENTURE FILMS
• Adventure films are a good movie whose plots contain
travel elements. Typically, they include characters who
need to abandon their home or comfort place to travel
to far distant lands to reach that goal. Settings, often as
large as the actors themselves, play an important part in
adventure films.
FANTASY FILMS
• Fantasy films are films with magical themes,
typically sorcery, mystical incidents, myths ,
legends, or exotic fantasy realms that belong to the
fantasy genre.
COMEDY FILMS
• These films are meant to make the viewer chuckle by
laughter and most typically work for comedic effect by
understating characteristics. Traditionally, films of this
form have a happy ending.
RELIGIOUS FILMS
• The bond between film and religion is as
prehistoric as cinema itself. Cinema has always
been interested in God. "In the twentieth century,
the figure of Jesus Christ has been a common
focus for film and a touchstone for cinematic
controversy."
HORROR FILMS
•A horror film is one that, for
entertainment purposes, aims to
awaken fears from its viewers.
MAIN ELEMENT IN CINEMA

• There are several different film techniques used to tell

the story or storyline together with the literary
elements, such as plot, setting, characterization, form,
and theme, which make up the text or script, sound,
music, lighting, camera angles, and editing are all
given focus.
CHARACTER

• The one who act in this film and also she/he portray the
character based on the story that directors made.
• The character is a task in which they perform their role as a
character to which they belong and especially they are
focused on where they have been placed by their director.
PLOT

• Is to give emotions from start, middle up to the end of the film because it
gives a good relevant to the audience who watch the film.
• The plot is the arrangement of these functions, from the earliest starting
point, through the center, until the end, that gives us the sentiment of the
forward movement (or stillness) of the story. The most significant functions
of the plot are regularly huge irreversible episodes that change the course of
the plot and drive it further ahead. These functions are called Plot Focuses.
CONFLICT

• The conflict is a misunderstanding of the characters

especially when it is organized to determine the
outcome of a film story. This can be done in easy
situations especially in those that are difficult to
explain in the story.
RESOLUTION

• To complete your movie experience, it is very important to have a climatic reso
lution to the already thickening plot, a final confrontation
of the protagonist with the antagonistic forces, a final plot point, which is emot
ionally, dramatically, and visually the high point of the film. And this closure, t
his resolution of the film's primary conflict, or the absence of it (as is the case
with tragedies), also provides the 'point of the film'. Generally, the resolution s
hould also cause a substantial one.
STRUCTURE

• It is like deciding on how to dress yourself for a
certain ceremony to decide the correct structure
for your plot. From your picture to the effect you  can
create can rely so heavily on that. Personally, I
find this the most exciting stage of film writing,
deciding the structure of a film that I am writing.
SCENES

• The scenario is an indication where the

characters need to act in what they did and
viewers will better understand where or how
their scenario is.
DIALOGUE

• Dialogue is a word in which actors say what

they are doing in film. It also allows viewers to
understand what they are doing and saying
because it provides knowledge for themselves
and they can also share it with other people.
VISUALS

• Visual is a type of cinema in which there is

motion of the image as it symbolizes
communication with its viewers.
