Tsunami

 The term of “tsunami” comes from the Japanese which means harbour ("tsu") and wave
("nami"). A tsunami is a series of waves generated when water in a lake or a sea is
rapidly displaced on a massive scale. A tsunami will be generated when the seafloor
abruptly deforms and vertically displaces the overlying water. Such large vertical
movements of the earth's crust can occur at plate boundaries. Subduction of earthquakes
are particularly effective in generating tsunami, and occur where denser oceanic plates
slip under continental plates. As the displaced water mass moves under the influence of
gravity to regain its equilibrium, it radiates across the ocean like ripples on a pond.
Tsunami always bring great damage. Most of the damage is caused by the huge mass of
water behind the initial wave front, as the height of the sea keeps rising fast and floods
powerfully into the coastal area.

Rainbow

Rainbow is a natural phenomenon when an arc of color which is made by light striking
water droplets appears in the sky. This phenomenon generally happens after rain. The
sequence of rainbow color is always started with red, then followed by orange, yellow, green,
blue, indigo, and violet.
Rainbow is formed by the refraction of sunlight by water droplets in the atmosphere.
First of all, the sunlight passes though the water droplets and it is bent to the center of the
droplet. Next, the white light is separated from each other into spectrum of light. The colors
that have been separated, then separate again into the very small portions. Actually, the
sunlight has several lights beside red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and purple, but our
eyes can capture those lights only. Each color is bent at different angles, purple is the color of
the first bend while red is the last. Finally those colors form a light arc called a rainbow.

Flood

Flood is a natural phenomenon that usually happens in a lot of areas drained by the river flow.
In simple terms, it can be defined as the presence of flood water in a vast region that covers the area
of the earth’s surface.
Flooding process itself occurs when the rains come and cause water sources such as rivers,
seas, lakes, and ditches no longer able to accommodate the water drop. The barren land covered
with trees without overflowing water will speed up the process of proficiency level, because the
trees that should absorb the water have been used as a furniture material. When the water source is
no longer able to accommodate, the water will overflow and flow into residential areas and have a
big impact. Nowadays, flood is an annually happening in some big cities in Indonesia, especially
Jakarta.
So, that’s the explanation of flood and how does it happen. Remember to always throw your
trash in the trash can to avoid flood
