The Scientific Process
Scientific inquiry refers to the many ways in which scientists
study the natural world and propose explanations based on the
evidence they gather.
It is composed by steps:
•Posing Questions
•Developing a Hypothesis
•Designing an Experiment
•Collecting and Interpreting Data
•Drawing Conclusions
•Communicating
Posing Questions
• Scientific inquiry often begins with a problem or question
about an observation.
• Questions don’t just come to you from nowhere. Instead,
questions come from experiences that you have and from
observations and inferences that you make.
• Curiosity plays a large role as well.
