Disaster Preparedness

• Full implementation of DepEd Order no. 48, s. 2012
• Anchored in R.A. no. 10121 or Philippine Disaster Risk
Reduction and Management Act of 2010
• Conduct series of trainings and drills on disaster preparedness
of the school
• Development or school hazard map and safety precaution
guidelines
• Basis in identifying areas of development in the aspect of
disaster management.
• Well trained members of school DRRM
Proposed Intervention:
• The researchers suggested that School DRRM personnel of San Jose
Community High School will have SAGIP program.

• The respondents will undergo Project SAGIP program through


orientation seminars, video presentations practice drills and final drill
for 1 month period.

• Program “SAGIP” as an intervention program that will strengthen the


improvement plan on disaster preparedness.
 
Research Questions
1. What are the initial findings of San Jose Community High
School DRRM personnel performance before the SAGIP
program ?

2. What are the results of the implementation of SAGIP


Program?

3. Is there any significant difference on the performance of


San Jose Community High School DRRM personnel before
and after the program?
Scope and Limitation
• The study will investigate the preparedness of SJCHS
DRRM personnel in terms of safety, application ,
guidelines implementation and practices

• An intervention program that will strengthen the


improvement plan on disaster preparedness of the
school
Methodology
a. Participants
• School personnel who are member
of School DRRM are the respondents of the program
b. Data Gathering
• Descriptive- correlational method
• Survey questionnaire will be used in gathering data
• Descriptive statistics such as frequency counts, percentage, and means
will be used in quantifying responses of the respondents
c. Data Analysis
• T- Test will be utilized in determining the significant difference,
• Chi- square will be used to investigate the relationships between
variables under investigation
