I was looking into my precious baby’s eyes and I had fear consume me with
the thought of thinking how am I going to provide for my family! Me and my
whole family had to leave the family farm due to the dust bowl happening.
The drought had been so bad that it had caused our crops to get destroyed
and we were forced to leave. We had to leave everything behind to be able to
find a job. I am really hoping we find jobs fast or the whole family is going to
starve!
Person #2 Little girl with long coat
I am kind of confused why was I just in my house and now we are in the
street! I really want a bath I haven’t had bath in a really long time i’m starting
to smell. I think I am hungry because my stomach won’t stop rumbling and
making noises. I have been hearing my mommy say something like
“Hoovervilles” so I hope that is were we are going. She says that there is a
shelter there for people like us to stay there. I really really hope we get there
soon i’m super tired and hungry.
Person #3 Man with the hat on
Ever since we had to uproot and leave money is practically the only thing on
mind anymore. Ever since the stock market had crashed I have no money to
my name! All the money I had was all invested in my stock markets. I had to
being standing in line for food and that is so embarrassing! The had taken my
house and forced us to leave my own home and town! For the search of work
some people are calling me a Migrant worker. I really hope I can find some
work soon so I can get back up on my feet.
