AMBITIOUS:

SUCCESSFUL
PEOPLE
Elaborat:Nicorici Nicolae
Verificat:Gumeni Maria
Although they are now celebrities, the effort behind the success was enormous. There are
celebrities who were not successful from the first attempt, but went through many
experiences until they succeeded. The important thing is to never give up when you want
something for yourself.
Soichiro Honda
Born in 1906 in Japan, he spent his childhood
helping his father in a bicycle shop. At the age of
18, Soichiro made his first race car. He started his
own business, a car workshop, at the age of 22. He
later founded his own company called Tokai Seiki.
During World War II, his factory was destroyed by
bombing.
Honda decided not to set up the factory and started
making alcohol in the backyard.
One day he decided to use a radio generator for his
wife’s bicycle. Two years later, Soichiro Honda
began producing the fully motorized bicycle.
■ This was type A and the first invention of the
Honda Motor company.
Thomas Alva Edison
Edison is the best example of how
important self-confidence and perseverance
are. He failed thousands of times while
trying to invent a commercially viable light
bulb.
■ His failures were a step forward on the
road to success. He said he did not fail,
but discovered 9,999 wrong ways that
do not work. Eventually, Edison
produced the bulb that lasts up to 1,500
hours.
Steve Jobs
■ In 1985, Steve Jobs was fired by his own company, which he had set up with his friend.
He was fired on the grounds that he had become uncontrollable, and his plans were
unviable.
Steve returned in 1996,
when Apple, which was
close to bankruptcy, decided
to buy his new company.
Since then, Apple has
climbed to the top again.
4 Secrets to Becoming a Successful Person
1.Take action – act!
Katty Kay and Claire Shipman, the authors of the Code of Trust, wrote a groundbreaking
article for The Atlantic on the subject. Recent studies have found that there is a large gap in
trust between the sexes, which means that success is just as dependent on trust as it is based
on competence. Their conclusion? Low confidence results in inaction, so act in the
direction you aspire to!
2.Be authentic!
The truth is that we all have a tendency toward conformity when it comes to starting a business, which is not
necessarily a bad thing, studies say. However, authenticity, although risky, is seen with very good eyes in all
successful trades. Do you feel the need to do something different in your business? Do it! Studies show that
successful people have a much higher risk-taking rate than people who do not have the same success!
Improve your social skills!
■ According to research conducted by the University of California, Santa Barbara by economist Catherine
Weinberger, the most successful business people excel in both cognitive ability and social skills.
Weinberger states that all people are endowed with the ability to socialize, more or less, but it can certainly
be educated. Don’t you like being in the spotlight and you’ve never been the most popular in high school?
There’s no problem! Educate your social skills slowly with your intellectual ones and the results will not
stop appearing. What does success mean? Information and access to information, and access is often made
by establishing connections with as many people as possible in vast fields!
3.Delay rewards!
Of course, you can invest the money you
earn today in clothes and trips tomorrow.
But what if your goals were long-term?
Instead of rewarding yourself with
something small, for the moment,
postpone the reward for something great.
For example, do not buy clothes
tomorrow, but invest the money in the
future business. Benefit? Wait to see the
bank account when the business will
prosper!
4.Passion and perseverance!
Psychologist Angela Duckworth has spent many
years studying children and adults and has found
that a significant predictor of success is
perseverance. But how else can you persevere if
you do not have passion? We all know that work
doesn’t look like work when you really like it, but
by no means is it appropriate to lie on one ear.
Perseverance is needed! Especially when you
have a job that attracts you, perseverance is the
weapon that guarantees success almost
immediately!
