meat , eggs , feathers etc . The
mostly used poultry birds are
chicken. People say ‘poultry
farming is very profitable ‘what
is the reason of saying this can

The main purpose of poultry farming is for egg

and meat purpose. Most of the demand is fulfilled
by chicken in our country. It is also estimated that
nearly 50%of the meat sector is contributed by
chicken only. Poultry bird‘s fur is valuable raw
material in sleeping bag manufacturing industries .
 PROCESSING ,QUALITY CONTROL
AND STORAGE OF PRODUCTION
The provision of quality controland storage is
important especially for meat and egg product because
these products are highly susceptible to micro organisms
and greatly concerned with public health and public
consumption .The maintainance of cleanliness and
sanitation of the product ,containers ;quick and safe
collection,transportaion appropriate storage and
distribution of the products are required.
 Meat and eggs in trays should be stored in chillinf centers or
in freezers. At last but not least i would like to give you one more
information on the same topic . Slaughtering of birds and
processing meat must be abided by the minimum standard as
specified by the livestock development office and the Food
