Stellarium

History
Stellarium is an open-source
free-software planetarium,
released in 2001. In 2006, You can download it on your
Stellarium won a gold award in computer from here:
the Education category of the Les http://stellarium.org/
Trophées du Libre free software or use web version:
competition. https://stellarium-web.org/
You can choose a
date and hour in the
past, present and
future and can
speed up, slow down
speed or completly
stop time.
You can also change the
location so you can look
the sky from your home
or from the north pole.
We can even set our location on a different
planet and see the Earth.

We can even set our

location on a different
planet and see the Earth.
We can turn on and off constellation lines and
figures, and if we click on a planet or a star we can
see more information about it like it's name, what
distance is it from us and a lot more. We can also
zoom in or out so we can see planets in that are a lot
further from us.
From Stelarium I have learned a lot of stuff
about astronomy, like how to find different stars,
planets and constellations from Ursa Major like
the Northern star or Draco. I have used it a lot to
find where the different zodiac signs are. I find it
very useful for people that like astronomy and
for students.
Let's use a Stellarium to see why we
can't observe a solar eclipse from
Bulgaria, but from Chile we can.
