Introduction
Telecommunication Telemedicine Wireless Antenna
PIFA
Research Background
This background comes from my daily life, my sister is a
medical doctor. When the patient arrives, the first thing to do is
check pressure blood using the device and a stethoscope. I think
in the time of this pandemic, it’s necessary to maintain physical
distancing, so I have an idea to check pressure blood without
touching.

body (on SAR value).
Supporting Theory
1. Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN) Technology - wearable antenna
Wearable Antenna is an antenna that is integrated on the human body, so it is compatible with one type of
application WBAN, which is off-body centric.

2. Antenna Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)

Development of identification technology-based radio wave. Data can be transferred wirelessly from transponder
(tag) to the system (reader), which includes an antenna & microchip transmitter.

3. Planar Inverted – F Antenna (PIFA)

The result of transformation of Inverted – L Antenna (ILA) & Inverted – F Antenna (IFA). PIFA is smaller
dimension compared to a microstrip antenna. PIFA consists of four layers, such as patch, substrate, ground plane,
and shorting pin.

4. Spessific Absorption Rate (SAR)

is a measure of the rate at which energy is absorbed per unit mass by a human body when exposed to a radio
frequency (RF) electromagnetic field and has units of watts per kilogram (W/kg).
Design Antenna

Steps to Design Antenna by PIFA method:

1. Determination of spesifications.
2. Design with software and Optimation antenna.
3. Fabrication according to the software model (Prototype).
Spessification Antenna

1. Operating frequency are 923 – 925 MHz.

2. VSWR is less than -2.
3. Gain is more or equal than 1 dBi.
4. Bandwidth value is more or equal than 10 MHz.
5. Return Loss is less or equal than -10 dB.
6. Polaradiation is Uni-directional

Measurement Antenna

Steps to Measurement Antenna by PIFA method:

1. Analize the measurement on this Antenna.
2. Configure the measurement.
