 Naproxen drug

- May inhibit prostaglandin synthesis to

produce anti- inflammatory, analgesic
and antipyretic effects.

TABLETS: 250 MG, 375 MG, 500 MG

MECHANISM

● Naproxen works by reversibly

inhibiting both the COX-1 and
COX-2 enzymes as a non-
selective coxib. This results in the
inhibition of prostaglandin
synthesis. Prostaglandins act as
signaling molecules in the body,
inducing inflammation.
 CONTRAINDICATI
ON
Patient should avoid drug Contraindicated in patients
during last trismester of hypersensitive to drug and in
pregnancy those with the syndrome of
asthma, rhinitis.

Use cautiously in elderly patients and in- patients with renal disease,
CV disease,GI disorder, hepatic disease, or history of peptic ulcer
disease.
