Successful 2020 Peak Season

and Work Environment

Work Environment

As FedEx philosophy says:

“We take care of our People so that they can deliver impeccable Service
to our customers who will give us the Profit necessary for FedEx to be
successful”.

Work Environment

Since I joined the work team, I felt in a good vibe, the Dispatch Work Team
is the strongest team I have ever worked, obviously as every work team, is
not perfect, because the human factor is present and there is a known
imperfection that I would like to get in.

 The communication

 What do our work team needs to improve on the work environment?

To improve the inattention found in the communication of our team, I

suggest to; tight the line of communication between Manager-Team-
Employee, being more personal with my partners; booking meetings 1 to 1
once bimonthly and if its required with two or three partners at the time,
also we can do a partnership feedback and analyze the opportunity areas
shown.

Even, we could include a “Best Employee of Month” as recognition, taking

criteria such as:

 Best Dispatcher who has the least failure record on his/her stations.
 Best support of other colleagues.
 Non delays and/or absences.
 Closed tasks in time weekly or monthly.

I think we are ready for this Peak Season!

The team is almost complete and with the best for this Season, but, what
can I do to do even better this peak season and help the team?

Also we can Improve on communication between Dispatch and Couriers.

There are several routes carry on MPADS and we are having some
problems at the communication with them, so we need to create/ a hotline
between those couriers and dispatch, a data base with all phone numbers
to keep direct connection and to reduce in great impact the open
recollections at the end of the day.

This is not only for the recollection, but because we are also a source of
help for routes.

End Of Day Recap Report, the importance of maintaining good practices at

road closure.

I am asking for a meeting with couriers and feed this subject back, talking
about the importance to request the CLEAR at the road closure before sign
off.

And shift delivery with End Of Day Recap will be simpler due to the
decrease on pendent tasks at closure.
• On average, 85 routes are expected for
this Peak Season, I mean, 13.3% more
than in the regular season.
• Of this, 80% do not request CLEAR just
signs off.
• 6.6% do not connect to dispatch system.
• And 8% leaves an open route.

Full time could take Mercado Libre, Walmart, Sam’s, Best Buy and Costco
accounts plus LOMA/GDLA, with this the new mates would be able to
focus on the stations and the dispatcher in charge of these accounts could
easily formulate reports and attend them.

 I realized that with the new

template, the task of adding the
FAMIS Daily Time Card will be
discovered, so I would like to end
this task at the end of the day
without any problem.
