following rules must be followed
1.In some cases, the final consonant of the verb is doubled
2.In verbs ending in -ie, we remove these two letters and replace them with
one and
3.In verbs ending in -e, we remove this letter before adding –ing.

when to use the gerund In the present continuous, in the company of other
verbs, to complete its meaning and As an adjective, that is, to complete the
information of a noun. In this case, the gerund always comes before
 Infinitive

the infinitive form never conjugated is used mainly in the following
cases:
As the subject of the sentence, To indicate purpose, and to express the
motive or reason for an event
