RHYTHMIC ACTIVITIES
COURSE DESCRIPTION
These courses are to introduce the art and sport of
dancing and to provide the necessary skills and
understanding for an appreciation of the artistic,
athletic, and social qualities of dance. Throughout
the course, students will learn various concepts
surrounding dance including culture, etiquette, and
application in social settings as well as several
different styles of dance and the rhythms and types
of music to which they are danced. Besides being a
learning experience, this is to be an enjoyable course.
COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the course, the students must have:
College Develop skills necessary for recreational enjoyment.
Maintain good posture and physical efficiency.
Promote emotional freedom.
Develop a balanced and well-coordinated body.
Understand how to use and build up progressions for discipline specific skills
Know your ethical coaching responsibilities
Know your safety responsibilities

Know the structure and purpose of preparation for activity
