Sayaw sa Cuyo is a Filipino folk dance that originated in Cuyo, Palawan. It is a girl dance wherein handkerchiefs
are used to emphasize their twirls and turns.

Sayaw sa Cuyo is mazurka-inspired danced by girls/ladies swaying their hats to accent twirls and turns. The dance originates from
Cuyo, Palawan. On the small island, the feast of St. Augustine is traditionally celebrated with parades, religious processions, and
performances by groups coming from all over Cuyo and the nearby islands. Island dances blended with strong old Cuyo ethnicity
and Spanish influenced steps. Today, dancers daintily swirl hats to the waltz and other European steps designed to bring out the
freshness and glow of the performers.
