ZOOM DESCRIPTION
• Zoom is video conferencing website that some schools use as
classrooms for remote learning.
• Has many options to interact online with students, like white
boards for teachers to write on and classroom polls.
• A way for teaching and still be socially distancing.
• Can be used anywhere that you have WIFI and your laptop.
ZOOM IN THE CLASSROOM

• Classes are no longer able face to face; most classes are held in
Zoom meetings. With the use of HD video students can join
classes virtually from anywhere. Some teachers can record lessons
so students can watch later and review lessons if needed. Zoom
has many features that can keep student interacting with the class,
like using polls, group chats, and sharing videos.
• All the students need to do is log on to zoom and join the meeting
that is provided by the teacher at the assigned time and date.
PROS OF ZOOM VIDEO CONFERENCING

• Some students may feel like its easier to participate in Zoom classes
rather then in person.
• Students are in the comfort of their own homes.
• Can participate from anywhere, not just home. A student only needs a
laptop and Wi-Fi.
• Can write down responses rather the having to speak in front of the
class.
CONS OF USING ZOOM

• More distractions in the home like phones, tv, and family.


• Can lose focus easily at home.
• Can not talk to teacher face to face.
• Hard to be heard or noticed in zoom meetings.
• Can not communicate with other students one on one.
• Wi-Fi can crash or you can have bad connections.
