INTRODUCTION
A Film, also called a movie, motion picture or moving picture, is a
work of visual art used to simulate experiences that communicate ideas,
stories, perceptions, feelings, beauty, or atmosphere through the use of
moving images. These images are generally accompanied by sound, and
more rarely, other sensory stimulations..

The word "Cinema", short for Cinematography, is often referred to  


Flimmmaking and the Flim Industry, and to the art form that is the
result of it.
TARGET AUDIENCE
• Target Audiences are always for a particular niche — A Group of People with specific
Interests and of a defined age, gender, interests, etc. Yes, there are cases when films
don’t fall into one targeted niche (and it happens more frequently than one could have
imagined),yet genuinely films of bollywood and hollywood are equally loved by the
audience’s.
• Primary Target :- The primary target is mostly identified through demographic
variables such as age, gender, and level of education.
• Secondary Target :- The secondary target audience can be of two types. On one hànd
it can be larger than the primary target. However, on the other hand it could mean
aiming the film with the specific interest in one aspect of the film and these groups are
usually not defined demographically.

TARGET AUDIENCE
• ACTION FILMS:- A GENRE OF FILM SPECIFICALLY TARGETING THE MALE AUDIENCE. FILMS LIKE COMMANDO ,WAR
,ACTION JACKSON WERE HIGHLY IN DEMAND FOR THE ACTION STUNTS AND SCENES AND LOVED FROM THE
YOUNGER GENERATIONS BOYS TO THE MIDDLE AGES MENS.
• ROMANTIC DRAMA FILMS:- THESE TYPES OF FILMS ARE LOVED BY THE FEMALES DUE TO THE EMOTIONAL ASPECTS.
A PERFECT EXAMPLE WILL BE THE MOST POPULAR ICONIC FILM KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI A FILM WHICH IS STILL
GETTING LOVE FROM THIS GENERATION.
• THEN THERE ARE ALSO SOME MOVIES LIKE 3IDIOTS WHICH ARE POPULAR WORLDWIDE WITH HAVING A AUDIENCE OF
EVERY AGE AND EVERY GENDER IT CAN BE CALLED A MOVIE WITH MUTUAL PRIMARY AND SECONDARY TARGET
AUDIENCE
• THERE ARE STILL MANY DIFFERENT GENRES OF FILMS LIKE HORROR, ADVENTURE, FICTION, FAMILY DRAMA,
HISTORICAL AND MANY MORE WHICH ARE LIKEABLE BY DIFFERENT NICHE OF PEOPLE BY DEMOGRAPHIC OR BY
INTERESTS.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FILM
INTENSITY, INTIMACY, UBIQUITY, PARTICULARITY,
NEUTRALITY.
 INTENSITY:- Its intensity derives from its power to hold the
complete attention of the spectator on whatever bit of reality is being
shown. 

 INTIMACY:- The intimacy of the film image is related to the


camera’s ability to see things in greater detail than the eye can.

 UBIQUITY:- The impression of ubiquity being every where at once


is achieved in part by the camera’s apparent freedom to move from place
Particularity:- The Language of words lends itself to
generalization and abstraction. Motion Pictures, on the other
hand, only show particular things and may also
Beambiguousin that it shows but does not explain.

Neutrality:- The World people see all around them is


strongly influenced by their emotions and their interests.
USAGE OF THE FILMS
 They draw attention of the students.
 They help to bring past to the classroom.
 It is possible to reduce or enlarge the size of the object by using the machine.
 They can be used to show a process which a naked human eye cannot see without its aid.
 They can be used to show a record of an event.
 They can serve a large class at a time.
 They provide a good aesthetic experience.
 They help in understanding relationship between things, ideas and events.
