an example on the 3 organizational structure.

Organizational structure – is a chart which shows how work


is allocated and the level of supervision and authority inside
the organization.
 3 types: Functional, Divisional, & Matrix

1. Functional Structure

 In this structure, departments are grouped based on the SIMILARITY

2. Divisional Structure

 In this structure, business activity is the basis for grouping the


department.
 Basis of the division may be:
Geographical (Such as when there are more than one branch)
Product (When the company sells more than one product)
Customer (When the company caters to different customers)
 Process (Such as when the company has a variation of methods)

In this structure, functional and divisional are combined. Thus this creates a situation where
there are two or more superiors and where they belong to two different teams.

 For an organization to be successful, it must bring value to the
majority of the stakeholders.
 Example: Even if the business is profitable, it is not successful if the
employees are unsatisfied, or customers are unhappy.
