photography and printing?
• Traditional film is becoming obsolete,
thanks to digital technology. Now, you
don’t need to purchase film or waste
time getting it developed. This
eliminates the cost of expensive
processing equipment and dark rooms.

images that are captured and edit
them instantly. These images that are

and negatives can be done away with. Many
websites allow users to store copies of their
photos which can easily be accessed from a
computer. These are a few of the changes
digital technology has made in the
photography industry.

• Most businesses nowadays use scanners,
printers, and digital cameras. Office
based businesses use printers because
they are good for printing a mass
volume of documents.

to keep a visual inventory for insurance
claims purposes. Digital cameras can in
fact be used in business for many
purposes, such as creating virtual reality
tours to present on the Web, producing
business cards, and recording events or
meetings. They are excellent for
constantly monitoring activity in a
business environment.

Definition
A peripheral device is defined as a
computer device, such as a keyboard
or printer, that is not part of the
essential computer (i.e.,the memory
 and microprocessor). These auxiliary
devices are intended to be connected
to the computer and used.
