BUILDING RELATIONSHIP IN

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL

LIFE
By : S SURAJ
What is a relationship?

A relationship is a deep or close bond

between people or the way in which two or
more people feel and behave towards each
other:
Why and when do we need relationships?
Relationships are imperative for many different reasons
such as increasing our emotional well being, creating
stability, learning how to be a good friend or mate, having
someone to count on and trust in times of need and
someone to vent to when we face challenges, and friends
and mates take away loneliness and makes us happy.
How to build relationships?
• Keep expectations realistic.
• Talk with each other.
• Take the time.
• Genuinely listen
• Share information
• Be flexible.
• Be dependable
• Be yourself
Building Personal Relationship
• Assess your self-esteem level and decide which kind of
relationships you want.
• Decide what you value most in life as a person.
• Evaluate every relationship in your life at this moment.
• Based on your assessment, try and get rid (delicately!) of
everything that consumes you emotionally.
• Increase the frequency of interactions.
• Water” your relationships.
Building Professional Relationship
• Improve Your Communication Skills. It will be nearly
impossible to build better professional relationships if your
communication skills are effective or even nonexistent.
• Respect Others.
• Respond to Feedback Positively.
• Be Empathetic.
• Celebrate Others.
• Seek Opinions.
Thank you!
