ISLAMIC INTEGRATION
� A parent or a teacher has to train his/her student over
cleanliness, purity, manners, generosity and Haya from an early
age so that the student maybe raised on these good qualities.
� He/she should not be allowed to stuff his stomach with food
rather he should be balanced in his eating and sleeping habits.
� It will be helpful for him in practicing his religion.
� He should also be treated with physical exercises like walking.
� It is useful for the heart, brain and eye sight of the students to
go to park and play there for some time.
� It is also recommended that the child should walk and do some
physical exercises as they will help him to remain active.
OBJECTIVES
� The students will be able to:
� develop physical competence and knowledge of movement and
safety, and their ability to use these to perform in a wide range
of activities associated with the development of an active and
healthy lifestyle.
� develop confidence and generic skills, especially those of
communication and critical thinking.
� nurture positive values and attitudes in them, provide a good
foundation for students’ lifelong learning.
� maintain their physical fitness and well-being.
WHAT IS PE?
� Physical Education is "education through the physical".

� Physical education is a course that focuses on developing


physical fitness in the youth.

� This is a required course in primary and secondary school.

� To understand what physical education, we must understand


physical fitness which it intends to promote.

� Physical Education is the teaching and leading of physical


activity in a school gymnasium or other school setting.
WHY DO WE CONDUCT PE CLASSES IN SCHOOLS?
❖ School physical education (PE) provides a context for
regular and structured physical activity participation.
❖ PE's place in the school curriculum is that: it contributes to
children's health and fitness.
❖ A high-quality PE curriculum enables all students to enjoy
and succeed in many kinds of physical activity.
❖ They develop a wide range of skills and the ability to use
tactics, strategies and compositional ideas to perform
successfully.
❖ They also reflect on their own and others’ performances and
find ways to improve upon them.
❖ As a result, they develop the confidence to take part in
different physical activities and learn about the value of
healthy and active lifestyle.
WHY DO WE CONDUCT PE CLASSES IN
SCHOOLS?

❖ PE helps students develop personally and socially.

❖ They work as individuals, in groups and in teams, developing


concepts of fairness and of personal and social responsibility.

❖ They take on different roles and responsibilities, including


leadership, coaching and officiating.

❖ Through the range of experiences that PE offers, they learn


how to be effective in competitive, creative and challenging
situations.
IMPORTANCE OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

� Regular physical activity participation throughout childhood


provides immediate health benefits, by positively affecting
body composition and musculoskeletal development.

� It is recommended to include 45 minutes physical activity per


day of at least moderate intensity (equivalent of brisk walking)

� A secondary recommendation is that children should take part


in activities that help develop and maintain musculoskeletal
health.
WHY TO DO WARM UP AND COOL DOWN ?

� Warming up helps prepare your body for aerobic activity.


� A warm up gradually revs up your cardiovascular system by raising your
body temperature and increasing blood flow to your muscles.
� Warming up may also help reduce muscle soreness and minimize your risk
of injury.

� Cooling down Cool down exercises and stretches lower your chance of
injury, promote blood flow, and reduce stress to your heart and other
muscles.
� You’ll bring your heart rate, body temperature, and blood pressure levels
back down to their normal levels before you continue carrying on with your
usual activities.
� Dedicate at least 10 minutes of your workout to cooling down.
� Always include warm up and cool-down in your workout routine
and while playing sports.
