My current affairs magazine will be for 16-25-year old's. It will be
for young people interested in sports and the mainstream media.
They will be opened minded and want to create change. They
would be people interested in issues such as climate change and
racial injustice. My magazine will cost £2.50 so it is an accessible
price for the audience.
SYNOPSIS:
Issue 1: Representation of Gender-Women:
This issue's main article will represent women and in particular a
homeless woman and it will discuss the social issue of
homelessness and how it is presented and viewed by the public.
While this will be the main article of the magazine, there will be
stories about other affairs that are happening now. In this issue it
will also include stories from students going back to school, college
and university and about their experiences due to the corona virus
pandemic and how it has changed their experience. This article

Issue 2: Representation of Gender-Young Men:
This issues main article will be about the main-stream media and its effects on
young people. The story will be about a young sports stars experience into
becoming famous and rich at such a young age. The article will talk about the
mental health impacts on young people due to the media and the spotlight
sports stars are in and how anything they do will be scrutinised by the media
due to their fame and responsibility (links to the story at the moment of Phil
Foden and Mason Greenwood). While this is the main story for this issue, there
will also be other stories in the magazine. For example there will be a story
about climate change and what the audience as young people can do to help,
article on the black lives matter movement, an article about the American
election as well as more.

The first front cover will have a main image of a homeless woman
surrounded by her belongings and it will be a black and white photo
to say to the audience the seriousness of the situation. The colour
pallet will be a dark blue and lighter blue also to add to the sombre
situation but the lighter blue contrasts to suggest that there is
something that can be done to help. There be a main image that fills
the whole front cover, and there will be cover lines across the
