Introduction
Energy is one of the most fundamental parts of our universe.
We use energy to do work. Energy lights our cities. Energy powers
our vehicles, trains, planes and rockets. Energy warms our homes,
cooks our food, plays our music, gives us pictures on television.
Energy powers machinery in factories and tractors on a farm.
Energy from the sun gives us light during the day. It dries our
clothes when they're hanging outside on a clothes line. It helps
plants grow. Energy stored in plants is eaten by animals, giving
them energy. And predator animals eat their prey, which gives the
predator animal energy.
Everything we do is connected to energy in one form or another.
Energy is defined as: "the ability to do work."
Survey
Ever since the Industrial Revolution took off in the 18th century, vast
quantities of fossil fuels have been used to power .
The second oldest usage The oldest usage of renewable energy is represented
in usage biomass as fuel such as wood and agricultural waste from 800,000
years.
renewable energy is harnessing the wind in order to drive ships over water.
This practice can be traced back some 7000 years .
By 1873, concerns of running out of coal prompted experiments with using
solar energy. Development of solar engines.
The eventual importance of solar energy, though, was recognized in a 1911
Scientific American article: "in the far distant future, natural fuels having
been exhausted [solar power] will remain as the only means of existence of
the human race"
Fossil fuels
Today, 80% of the world's electrical production comes
from fossil and nuclear fuels.

Energy problems in Egypt
We have more than eight power station don't operated due
to there isn't enough fuel due to high cost.
Energy problems in Egypt
It is very risk on the environment

Wind energy
We use wind energy in generation of electricity by using
wind turbine.
Geothermal energy
Geothermal energy is thermal energy generated and stored
in the Earth.
Hydropower
Hydropower is the energy we make with moving water.
Moving water has a lot of energy.
We use that energy to make electricity.
Parts of a Hydropower Plant
Biomass energy
Methane from waste
Agricultural waste
Wood and wood waste
Animal wastes
The Advantages of Renewable Energy:
Renewable.
It is clean and every where.
Low maintenance.
Low running cost.
There is not pollution.
Renewable energy projects can also bring economic benefits.
Disadvantages:
High initial cost.
Low grade energy and need storage.
Need large area .
