What is Bullying?

• “Occurs when a person


repeatedly commits
aggressive acts that intend
to harm, and an imbalance
of power makes it hard for
the victim to defend
himself or herself.” (page
268)
Effects of Bullying

• Your friend feel that no


one want to play with
him
• The child feel scare
around the bully
• He or she don’t want to
go to daycare
Why we Bully?

There are many ways we


bully a friend with knowing.
Making fun of the way
somebody talk(verbal), by
telling another child to don’t
let a classmate play with a
specific toy(social) or by
heating or kicking another
child when we passed by
beside them (physical)
Signs
• Bullying can show itself it many ways even in young children:

• He or she does not want to go to daycare

• They have unexplained injuries on their body

• It seems that they do not have any friends or that nobody likes
them

• They could be distant from the group

• He or she could have trouble eating or sleeping


Strategies

• Talk to your parents or a


teacher about the situation
• Avoid the child who is
bullying you
• Tell the bully to “Stop” or
“Leave Me Alone!”
• The best way to prevent
bullying is by talking to
your teacher, parents or
counselor and letting
them know what is
happening in the
classroom and how you
feel.
