ABSTRACT

Software to know the present and future pollution percentage of a

particular area using mapping algorithm.
The data from pollution boards will be considered along with the
google maps and machine learning algorithms to display the mesh based
chart of pollution and for prognostics purpose.

08-09-2020 BATCH NO: 3

Objectives
• To develop a software to know the pollution of a particular
area and processed by machine learning algorithms to know
the total pollution details of the area .
• Data visualization is also used to represent the output in
the forms of images and charts.

25-09-2020 BATCH NO: 1 4

Scope
• The scope of the seminar is to do a detailed study of the
pollution percentage in the polluted areas to make the
pollution free areas by using various methodologies.

25-09-2020 BATCH NO: 1 5

Introduction
• With economic development and population rise in cities,
environmental pollution problems involving air
pollution, water pollution, noise and the shortage of land
resources have attracted increasing attention.
• Among these, air pollution's direct impact on human
health through exposure to pollutants has resulted in an
increased public awareness in both developing and
developed countries
• Air pollution is usually caused by energy production
from power plants, industries, residential heating, fuel
burning vehicles, natural disasters etc.

Literature Survey
U. Gehring et al., "Traffic-related air pollution and the development
of asthma and allergies during the first 8 years of life", Amer. J. Respiratory
Critical Care Med., vol. 181, no. 6, pp. 596-603, 2016.
• Monitoring and preserving air quality has become one of the most
essential activities in many industrial and urban areas today.
• The quality of air is adversely affected due to various forms of pollution
caused by transportation, electricity ,fuel uses etc.
• This paper reviews the published research results relating to air quality
evaluation using methods of artificial intelligence ,decision trees, deep
learning etc. Furthermore, it throws light on some of the challenges and
future research needs.

25-09-2020 BATCH NO: 1 9

Conclusions
• This study focuses on the monthly air pollution on emission
of two gases so2( sulfur dioxide) and no2(nitrogen dioxide)
on two cities Chennai and Coimbatore.
• The data was collected and trained using machine
learning algorithm and the predicted data has been tested.
