 This position will be responsible for placing orders and managing the inventory for all
finished goods for new releases and catalog product.  The Buyer/Planner will manage
daily suppliers and will maintain inventory for materials in our SAP system according to
established inventory level guidelines.  The Buyer/Planner will serve as a focal point for
gathering sales forecast data, demand and inventory requirements, from VMI, Sales
Planning, Marketing & Promotions, and will liaise between Materials Management and
Customer Service Groups to communicate issues with meeting manufacturing and
customer delivery dates.  This position will also generate weekly MRP reports as needed
to ensure timely placement of Purchase Orders, monitor and adjust inventory levels via
PIR, ROP and Safety Stock methodologies to ensure a 98.5% product fulfillment rate,
provide complete and accurate status reports as requested, identify potential inventory
shortfalls and risk mitigation steps, and may monitor, analyze, and administer daily
decisions in support of the formal procurement and inventory planning processes.
