Morpheme :
the smallest unit of language that has its
own meaning
• Word = 1 morpheme
• Word + -s = 2 morpheme

• Inflection
is the morphological system for making word forms of
words
Example : mouse to mice

Is the morphological systems for making new words
Example : retell = re+tell, anyone=any+one

• Lexemes
families of words that differ only in their grammatical endings or
grammatical forms.
if there are two or more words that are different but have the
same root word, 1 lexemes is calculated.
Example :
My friend and I walk to class together, because our classes
are in the same building and we dislike walking alone.

no matter how many times it occurs in a sentence, we are
counting once.
Example :
Mia will go to Surabaya next week, she intends going to
Malang next month.
