ACP/CAT-1 COURSE
ORIENTATION
Welcome to the module “Course Orientation”. This module
contains learning contents, course outline, grading system and
requirements for the whole school year.
This module specifically includes three (3) major components of
ACP/CAT Program of Instruction (POI) such as Military Orientation;
Community Service; and Public Safety and Law Enforcement.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this module, learners are expected to:
 discuss the legal basis and objectives of ACP/CAT program of Instruction
(POI):
 demonstrate appreciation and understanding of the various components of
ACP/CAT Program; and
 commit one’s self to serve and protect the community.

Military Orientation:
Provides learning opportunities for the students to gain knowledge, skills,
and understanding of the rights and duties of citizenship and military training
with focus on leadership, obedience and self discipline.

Community Service:
Activity that helps achieve the general welfare and the betterment of life of
the members of the community, or enhancement of its facilities especially
those devoted to improve health, education, safety, recreation and morale of
the citizenry.

Public Safety and Law Enforcement:
Programs and activities which are contributory to the maintenance of peace
and order and public safety and observance of and compliance with laws.
