Therapy Options among Breast
Cancer Patients

Abstrac
The high prevalence and incidence of breast cancer patients threatens the quality of life of
Indonesian. In addition to the patient's condition, the choice of therapy is also a factor faced by the
patient and his family. A cross-sectional study was conducted directly to the community of 198
cancer patients in the main region,, West Java Province.. Data collection is done through face-to-
face interviews with patients, with or without family. The results showed that there was a significant
relationship between the demographic social factors of physical, emotional condition, patient age,
marital, family. status, confidence, and income and knowledge factors knowledge about diseases,
causes of breast, indications and symptoms of breast, indications and symptoms during breast
cancer therapy, breast cancer, and treatment of indications and symptoms with therapeutic options.

is the second leading cause of death in the world

In addition, the choice of therapy can also be influenced by the distance between the
therapy site and the community, affordable prices, quality of service, and so on. According
to Gerber et al., Other factors include therapy service providers, therapy costs, and
distance. While the factors of people who use the therapy are education level and
socioeconomic status. There are also socio-demographic and knowledge factors.
