• According to Fitzmaurice[1] , there are three main schools of treaty
interpretation :
1. “Teleological school”; interpretation in accordance with the aims and
purposes of the treaty .
2. “Intention school”;interpretation in accordance with the intension of
the parties .
3. “Textual school”;interpretation in accordance with the ordinary
meaning of the words of the treaty .
**The general rule primarily adopts the “textual approach” based on
