Lesson Description:
The course introduces the learners to the idea that
the word media – which they may already know in the
sense of the media industry (“the media”) – means
channels of communication between a person or
persons and their intended audience.
Lesson Objectives:
After this lesson, the students will be able to learn how to do
the following:
1. Trace the communication process that happens with human
being.
2. Map out the system of information flow in the
communication process.
3. Differentiate the relevance and importance of each kind of
media.
What does Media mean?
• Media is the plural form of medium, which (broadly speaking)
describes any channel of communication. This can include
anything from printed paper to digital data, and encompasses
art, news, educational content and numerous other forms of
information.
Example of MEDIA:
• The New Yorker magazine
• CDs and DVDs.
• Newspapers, Television, Radio, Printed matter, Internet
information and advertising.

The return of part of the output of an
electronic circuit, device, or mechanical system
to its input, so modifying its characteristics.
In negative feedback a rise in output energy
reduces the input energy;
In positive feedback an increase in output
energy reinforces the input energy.
