Context
The department of “Ile de France” has 720,000 applicants for social
housing, for around 70,000 allocations per year (Jean-Luc Vidon, DG ICF
Habitat). This assertion is supported by the report of the Abbé Pierre
foundation which states that:

 4 million people don’t have a house or are

poorly housed in France
 The housing crisis affects 15 millions
French people to varying degrees
 2/3 live in very difficult housing conditions

Problematic: How to reconcile ecology and social housing in order to

compensate for the lack of housing in our cities: case of the Ile de
France department?
 Project: construction of low-cost ecological housing for poor people

EcoProject is a social project focusing on ecology

and "better housing". The project consists in using
containers to build a residence of 3 buildings of 5
floors each, type T1 and T3 with a surface
capacity of 20m² and 100m².

Its particularity is that it will raise awareness and instill ecological

values ​in its inhabitants through its system of use. In fact, houses
will be powered by renewable energies to fight against the
emission of gases and be part of the logic of sustainable
development.
 Project: construction of low-cost ecological housing for poor people

 The building will be equipped with a heat recovery

system to be placed under the shower trays. It recovers
heat from the drain water to preheat cold water.

 Establishment of a water sanitation network which will collect water,

which will be reprocessed and then be used for non-consumable needs

 This project will focus on renewable energies, in particular

photovoltaic panels and biogas. These energies will power the
various homes without having an impact on the environment.
