Preventive Measures
• Water Pollution:
• Stone Idols to be used for worship
• Immerse only those Idols which are
made up of unbaked mud, clay or other
biodegradable material
• Idols can be colored using Natural
colors
• Air Pollution:
• Regulate manufacture, purchase as well
as use of harmful crackers
• Items containing harmful chemicals
should be avoided strictly
• Fireworks should be brought from
registered sources who sell non-toxic
products
• Other Effects:
• Use Natural Colors in Holi
• Avoid using plastic bags and balloons
• Instead of Individual Celebrations,
Community Celebrations should be
preferred
• Low noise crackers should be used
