DNNHS downs DWNHS, 60-51
LEAD Dasmarinas North National High
School (DNNHS) survived a third
quarter meltdown and defeated
Dasmarinas West National High
School (DWNHS) to take the 60-51
vicvtory in the DIPSSAA Basketball
Tournament held at Dasmarinas
National High School Gym, Monday.

Renz Anciado led his team with
his 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4
assists that carry to his team to the
victory.
“We had some lapses in the third
quarter but we immediately found a
way to solve it,” said DNNHS coach
Danny Almagro.
Even though DWNHS had a run
with 8-2 run, 44-39 in the second
quarter, DNNHS tried their best to
win the game by combining Miguel
Benitez’s points with Anciado and
made a run, 55-47.
Highlighted with a three back to
back treys by John Manalo in the
latter part of the second quarter.
Joshua Coquilla brandished 14
points after he scored 9 points in
third quarter that gave to his tem in
the 8-2 brun.
CONCLUSION DNNHS finished the
game after Anciado scored a three
points in the last 38 seconds and
Benitez scored a fade away shot as
time expires,60-51.

PBA: San Miguel sustains unbeaten run
with 109-80 romp of Mahindra
 

The San Miguel Beermen dominated the


Mahindra Floodbuster, 109-80, on Wednesday
night at the Cuneta Astrodome.
Alex Cabagnot led the charge for the Beermen
with 26 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
San Miguel stepped on the pedal to build an
impressive 32-16 head start and never looked
back.
It was a lopsided match that the Beermen were
able to see their lead to 34 at one point in the
game.
Charles Rhodes added 20 points and 18
rebounds, while Marcio Lassiter chipped in 18
points for San Miguel who maintained its
unscathed record at 4-0.
Import Keith Wright paced the Floodbuster
with 16 markers and 12 boards. They suffered
their six setbacks in seven outings.
