ME AND MY SUCCESS

Part 1
 What “SUCCESS” means to you?

SUCCESS
 The true meaning of success cannot be measured by having a lot of
money, being wealthy, having a lot tangibles and earned degrees, but
instead with the amount of people that are able to life a better and more
advanced life because of what you are created.

 Success is how you transpired your life to make the lives of people better.

 Don’t settle for success that rests on accumulation and possession.


Strive to succeed not only in areas of doing and having but most
importantly in matters of being.
Difference of Success and Accomplishment

Accomplishment Success
• Refers to the results we desire • Is the positive consequence or
when we attempt to reach outcome of an achieved
specific goals. accomplishment.
• Basically it is the results that we
plan or expect to occur.
I. Success is a matter of Being.
• Joseph was betrayed, accused wrongly, treated unfairly, and Joseph was forgotten, but
Joseph never made a complaint against the circumstances, against God.
• True success is by the measured of the quality of life, your character, values and belief.
• Joseph focuses on his being than his bad circumstances. He responded rightly because
of having a right perspective and character.

II. Success is living in humility


• Genesis 45:7
“At sinugo ako ng Diyos sa unahan ninyo upang papanatilihin kayong pinakalahi sa lupa, at upang
iligtas kayong buhay sa pamamagitan ng dakilang pagliligtas”
• Genesis 45:8
“Hindi nga kayo ang nagsugo sa akin dito, kundi ang Diyos: at kaniya akong ginawang ama kay
Faraon, at panginoon sa buo niyang bahay, at tagapamahala ng buong lupain ng Egipto”

• Joseph signs of humility , Joseph when he give the credit to what is due.
• He never owes anything as personal credit. He acknowledged that God is the one who enable and
intended to where he was.
III. Success is living in integrity
• And after a while his master’s wife took notice of Joseph and said, “ Come to bed with me!” But he
refused. “With me in charge,” he told her, “my master does not concern himself with anything in
the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care. No one is greater in this house than I
am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then
could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?”

• And thought she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with
her.

• Joseph lived a life of doing the right thing for God in the midst of prosperity and adversity. Integrity
is when you still do the right thing even no one is looking.

• Joseph was able to live an exceptional life because of having the foundation of right purpose and
values of life.
Reflective Discussion:

1. What makes it more significant when we see the life’ success in


our being than the material, power and wealth?

2. Why constant humility requires in every good or bad


circumstance? How can it affect your response?

3. Are you living faithfully in the midst of prosperity and adversity? If


not, How can you change it from unfaithful to becoming faithful in everything you do?
